A review follows a treatment. It records how the patient feels about the result, what you observed, the outcome as you record it, and anything agreed as follow-up. It can set the next review date.
Before you start
- The patient needs at least one treatment episode. Until then the Review button is greyed with the hint A review follows a treatment episode.
- You need the consult capability for Aura.
Steps
- Open the patient's Aesthetics (Aura) tab. In Episodes, click Review.
- Choose the Practitioner. Under Treatment reviewed, pick the treatment this review is for. Click Open. The workspace opens on the Review stage.
- The Treatment reviewed card lists what was given at that treatment: product, quantity and lot.
- Write up the review in the four boxes: Patient reports, Clinical observations, Outcome and Follow-up. Each box saves when you leave it.
- For photographs, switch to the Capture stage. Stage defaults to Review. Choose a View and click Add photographs. Tick Show every Aura photograph on this record to compare with earlier views.
- Back on the Review stage, set Next review in to a number of weeks, or leave it at 0 for none.
- Click Close review and write to the record.
What happens next
- The review shows as completed with Next review due and the date, if you set one.
- Maxillo writes an unsigned clinical note containing the review. Sign it in Clinical notes.
- On the treatment episode, the Review stage lists Reviews of this episode, so anyone opening the treatment can find the review.
- If a top-up recall was set when the treatment was recorded, it remains on the treatment episode as Top-up review.
Common problems
- The Review button is greyed out — there is no treatment episode yet, or you lack the consult capability.
- Open is greyed out — you have not chosen a treatment under Treatment reviewed.
- The close button is greyed out — hover over it. Write the review up first means every box is empty; Save your changes first means you have unsaved text.
- The wrong treatment was chosen — click Cancel episode, give a reason, and open a new review against the right treatment.
