Aura Treatment Plans

Create a treatment plan on an open Aura episode, add planned areas and products, and pin exact points on the face map.

The Plan stage turns a consultation into a proposal: the treatments you suggest, their estimated costs, and the areas and points you intend to treat. A plan is always made on an open episode and linked to it.

Before you start

  • You need the plan capability for Aura, granted per person by the Maxillo team.
  • The episode must still be open. A closed episode shows This episode is closed, so no plan can be made on it.
  • Products you want to name on the plan must exist under Settings → Aura products.

Steps

  1. Open the patient's Aesthetics (Aura) tab, select the open episode in Episodes, and click the Plan stage.
  2. In Treatment plan for this episode, click New plan. If the patient already has a plan, choose it from the Linked plan dropdown instead.
  3. Give the plan a Title (the default is Aesthetic treatment plan). Under Proposed treatments, type each treatment and an estimated cost in the £ est. box. Click + another for more rows, then Create plan.
  4. The plan's items and Estimated total now appear on the card. Below it, Planned areas and points lists what you intend to treat.
  5. To add an area, choose a Planned area (grouped as Front, Profile and Other), optionally a Planned product, a Qty and unit, and a Note. Click Add area.
  6. To pin exact positions, click Place exact points on the map →. On the Map stage choose Plan a point, click the face where you intend to treat, complete the Plan this point panel and click Plan point.
  7. To take something off the plan, click the cross next to it, type a reason in Why is this removed from the plan? and click Remove.

What happens next

  • The plan appears on the patient's Treatment plan tab like any other plan. Its status (draft, active, completed or archived) is changed there.
  • On the Map stage, planned points show as dashed rings. Once treated they fade, so you can see what remains.
  • On a treatment episode, the Treat stage shows the linked plan and offers each planned point as a target.
  • A plan is a proposal, not consent. The card reminds you: Accepting a plan is not consent; consent forms are signed on the Treat stage.
  • A patient who uses the patient portal can accept a proposed plan there. The plan then shows as accepted by the patient on their record. That acceptance is not consent either.

Common problems

  • New plan is not shown — the episode already has a linked plan, the episode is closed, or you lack the plan capability. Use the Linked plan dropdown or open a new episode.
  • Plan a point is greyed out on the Map — hover for the reason. Link a plan on the Plan stage first means the episode has no plan yet.
  • The product list is empty — ask whoever manages products to add them under Settings → Aura products.
