Your treatment list is the single price list Maxillo uses everywhere: treatment plans, invoices and the Concierge phone assistant all read from it. Only treatments that are approved and live can be quoted or planned.
Before you start
- You need to be an owner, practice manager or administrator.
- Decide how each price should be shown. Maxillo has four pricing modes: Fixed (one set price), From (a starting price), Range (a minimum and maximum, always shown together) and Consultation first (no price given until the patient has been seen).
- If you want Concierge to offer a diary slot for a treatment, create your Appointment types first.
Steps
- Open Settings → Treatments. In the Practice workspace you can also choose Treatments from the side menu.
- Choose Add treatment.
- Enter the Treatment name, for example "Hygiene appointment".
- Under Price, pick the Pricing mode. Then fill in the field it asks for: Price (£) for Fixed, Starting price (£) for From, or Minimum (£) and Maximum (£) for Range. Consultation first needs no price.
- Enter the Duration (minutes) and a Category, for example "Medical Aesthetics".
- Leave Code or reference (optional) blank unless you use your own codes. Maxillo makes one from the name, and it is fixed once saved.
- Under Appointment type for booking, tick the diary appointment Concierge should offer for this treatment, and mark one as Default.
- Add a Description (optional, patient-facing) if you want patients to see one.
- Open More options to control Concierge and funding. Untick Available to Concierge to keep it off the phone. Untick Concierge may quote the price to let Concierge discuss it without giving a figure. Under Offered as, tick NHS, Private or both.
- Choose Save treatment.
What happens next
A treatment you add yourself is live straight away and appears under the Live tab. Treatments loaded from a file, or from the dental starter set, are held under Needs review until you check each price and choose Approve & activate. A banner reminds you how many are waiting.
Use the search box, the category filter and the Live, Needs review, Archived and All tabs to find a treatment. Each row has Edit, and either Archive or Reactivate.
Common problems
- The treatment does not appear in treatment plans or Concierge — it is probably still under Needs review. Open it and choose Approve & activate.
- Concierge quotes nothing for it — either the pricing mode is Consultation first, or Concierge may quote the price is unticked under More options.
- I cannot change the code — codes are fixed once saved so history stays attached. Edit the name instead.
- I have a long price list — use Import from a file to load a CSV or XLSX price list instead of typing each row. See Treatments and pricing.
